Triple therapy

The use of three different classes of medications for COPD treatment, namely: Long-acting beta-agonists (LABA), long-acting muscarinic antagonists (LAMA) and inhaled corticosteroids (ICS). Triple therapy is often prescribed for individuals with COPD who experience persistent symptoms despite using dual therapy. ICS help to reduce inflammation in the airways. The combination of all three classes of medications aims to provide comprehensive bronchodilation and anti-inflammatory effects, leading to improved lung function and symptom control.
